100th Day of School!!!!!
On
Monday January 23rd, we will be celebrating the 100th Day of School! As a fun way to celebrate this special day,
please dress your child as a 100-year-old (clothing, hair, etc.)! Have fun and be creative!
In
order to help the children develop an understanding of the concept of this
large number, we will be having 100’s Day!
We will be doing many activities on day.
For one of the activities, each child needs to bring 100 of something to
share. It does not need to be
expensive. The items need to be small
and must be in a baggie or sealed container.
We’ll be using our math skills in an exciting way that the children are
sure to enjoy!
Here
are some suggestions of items to bring:
toothpicks seeds rice Cheerios
beans
buttons M&M’s paper
yarn pennies macaroni Skittles
cereal paper clips Q-Tips marshmallows
As
you can see, the possibilities are endless!
To help make this process easier for your child, please make sure your
child brings EXACTLY 100 items—no
more, no less.
Thank
you for your help and know that your child will have a great time learning
about the number 100! Please send in the items to school by
Thursday, January 19th.
